I've been trying for a long time to find a satisfactory solution to cataloguing my type-related printed material in a way that both allows me to keep all primary bibliographic data at hand, and at the same time allows students to see what's available to consult. My ideal solution would be a version of LibraryThing that knows how to handle books without ISBN, journals and magazines, type specimens, ephemera, and so on. So far everything I try fails at some point or other, leading to not a little frustration (especially when I forget that I've got something already…)

So I've decided to break things down in sub-lists. Some basic items first; then upload here (slowly my shelves, and try to dump into LibraryThing all the stuff with ISBNs.
